Vacations are interesting part two

Mark from Fleet Transmissions called — he's going to have to pull it and either rebuild it or install a rebuilt from stock.

Sigh.

Sic transit gloria mundi.

Well, back to house chores — the lawn calleth, the laundry calleth and I have to make stock for the creole.

Vacations are interesting ...

My son is on leave from the Marine Corps so I've taken a few days off.
Delta Airlines started the parade by canceling his flight out of Sanddog (SAN). No terrorists, no unlabeled hand cream — insufficient crew, i.e., they couldn't find a steward/stewardess that could fly. Delta rejected an offer made by my son to serve drinks in her/his stead. Then the replacement flight was delayed by three hours to change a part. I believe in safe flight, but I also believe in competent maintenance, a pilot shouldn't be in the position of canceling a takeoff because maintenance wasn't done properly.

Way to go, Delta. Save money by using idiots for maintenance!

Friday night/Saturday morning: enroute to drop David off at his mother's farm, the Bigdragon decided to lose acceleration. Made it back in second gear.

Today: after dropping housemate off (again in second) I'll be dropping by Fleet Transmissions.

OK, the font size won't change. Reminder to me: don't change font sizes for emphasis.
